Phase 1: Laser Cutting the Sublimation MDF Sheet

1. Selection of MDF Sheet: The process begins with the selection of high-quality Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) sheets that are suitable for sublimation printing. These sheets provide a smooth surface that holds crisp and vibrant colors.

2. Designing the Rakhi: Our designers sketch out various designs that are both appealing and kid-friendly. Popular themes include cartoon characters, animals, and vibrant shapes. Once finalized, these designs are converted into vector files that guide the laser cutter.

3. Laser Cutting:The vector files are imported into the laser cutting machine, a sophisticated tool that uses a high-powered laser to precisely cut the MDF sheet. The laser cutter is programmed to etch out intricate designs with exact specifications, ensuring each Rakhi is perfectly crafted.

Crafting Delight: Making Kids' Rakhi at TheYayaCafe

At TheYayaCafe, creating the perfect Rakhi for your beloved kid brother is an art that marries traditional feelings with modern technology. Our process involves a nuanced blend of laser cutting, sublimation printing, and precise assembly, culminating in a cute and unique Rakhi that embodies love and care. Here's an in-depth look into how we make this magic happen.

Phase 2: Sublimation Printing on the CAD-Cut Sheet

1. Preparing the Design for Sublimation: Once cut, the MDF pieces for Kids Rakhi are prepared for sublimation printing. This next step involves another layer of creativity where beautiful designs specifically meant for Rakhi are crafted using digital design software. These designs are then transferred onto a special sublimation paper via a high-quality printer.

2. Heat Press Sublimation Printing: The printed sublimation paper is then carefully aligned with the MDF cut-outs. Both are placed in a heat press machine, which uses high temperatures and pressure to transfer the ink from the sublimation paper onto the MDF. The result is a vivid, long-lasting, and detailed print that brings the Rakhi to life.

3. Quality Check: Every piece undergoes a rigorous quality check to ensure that the colors are bright, the designs are clear, and there are no defects. If any piece doesn't meet our high standards, it is discarded and the process is repeated to ensure perfection in every Rakhi.

Phase 3: Assembling with Satin Thread

1. Selection of Satin Thread: The next step involves choosing just the right satin thread. Satin threads are smooth, durable, and look elegant, making them perfect for adding the finishing touch to the Rakhis. We offer a variety of colors to complement the different designs, ensuring a coordinated and aesthetically pleasing product.

2. Attaching the Thread: The MDF Kids Rakhi cut-outs now ready, it’s time to attach the satin thread. Small holes, precisely drilled during the laser cutting phase, allow for easy threading. The thread is looped through these holes and securely tied, ensuring it’s strong enough to hold through the celebrations and remain a keepsake for years to come.

3. Enhancing Durability: For added durability, a small drop of adhesive is applied at the knot points where the thread meets the MDF. This helps to secure the thread and prevent any unraveling, ensuring the Rakhi stays intact through all the festivities.

“I try as much as possible to give you a great basic product and what comes out, I feel, is really amazing.”

Phase 4: Final Touches and Packaging

1. Adding Beads and Charms: To make the Rakhi Threads even more special, we often add colorful beads and cute charms to the satin threads. It’s an optional embellishment, but one that adds a playful and personalized touch.

2. Quality Control: After assembly, each Rakhi undergoes a final inspection to ensure it meets our quality standards. The Rakhis are checked for sturdiness, vibrancy of colors, and secure attachment of the threads and any additional embellishments. Every detail is scrutinized to ensure the Rakhi embodies the affection and joy it represents.

3. Packaging: Once the Rakhis pass the quality check, they are carefully packaged. Each Rakhi is placed in an individual box or envelope that not only protects it but also enhances the unboxing experience. Our packaging is thoughtful, often featuring festive designs that add to the occasion's excitement.
